India’s University of Petroleum & Energy Studies offers Global Energy MBA

Abu Dhabi: India’s University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun, is offering a Global Energy MBA, in collaboration with an American University. 

The GE MBA provides a unique opportunity for energy professionals to move up their career ladder by acquiring a right mix of technology and managerial skill and knowledge sets to tap the fast emerging opportunities on the one hand and lurking threats on the other, said Dr Prag Diwan, vice chancellor of UPES. 

The primary objective of this program is to impart management education to energy professionals and prepare them to effectively tackle local and global energy issue, he said. Professionals with graduation in any stream from any university with two years industry experience are eligible, he said. University of Houston, Texas, USA and Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad are  collaborating on the MBA program. The vice chancellor said UPES is the only university that offers distance education in the domains of Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation & IT. 

“This unique program combines academic excellence with energy industry expertise along with a rare networking opportunity,” Dr Prag Diwan said. Participants will benefit from the collective experience of a diverse international legion, as well as learn from world-class faculty and thought leaders in industry and academia.
