Dubai — Schools and universities in Dubai will benefit from new e-services provided by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). The authority has introduced a smart e-services portal for universities and an updated system for schools and training institutes. In line with Dubai Government’s commitment to better serving its residents, the KHDA smart system allows customers to connect directly to the organisation, saving on time and paperwork.
Universities will enjoy access to services such as online registration for both staff and students, certificate attestation and permit renewal, offering customers a one-stop-shop to accommodate all their needs. Including several features to simplify the communications and permit processes, the smart system has been designed to further enhance the overall customer service experience.
Smart services include online payment, alerts on permit expiry, tracking of permit requests, email notifications and separation of services for amendment processes.
“The updated system will simplify communications between KHDA, schools, universities and training institutes,” said Abdulrahman, chief of customer relations at KHDA.
“In line with Dubai’s strategic plan 2021, we are optimising our online options, in order to provide the best possible customer service. So far KHDA has succeeded in ensuring that most of its services can be accessed online. Annually we process 900,000 requests online, which are expected to go up.”
Last week, the KHDA organised a training session for school coordinators to practice using the smart system. The overall feedback was positive, with schools agreeing that the system was convenient, efficient and easy to use, speeding up the customer service processes. -muaz@khaleejtimes.com
