National squads competing in four categories aim to strengthen legacy after winning seven medals in 2023 in Saudi Arabia
A comprehensive survey of students, teachers and school principals has been conducted by Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
“We have been able to introduce new concepts and ideas based on your feedback from last year’s surveys. In time, this positive engagement will lead to further improvements in Dubai’s education sector, giving more students access to high-quality teaching and learning,” said Hind Al Mualla, Chief of Engagement at the KHDA.
The 2013 KHDA survey was completed by 70,000 respondents, providing the education regulatory authority with feedback. The 2014 survey will reach around 220,000 respondents this year. The first batch has now been issued to more than 110,000 people, including more than 7,500 teachers, around 90,000 parents, 67 principals and more than 15,000 students.
Ninety-seven per cent of principals surveyed said they were satisfied with the quality of education offered in Dubai. To improve this further, the KHDA established the Principals’ Playground, a regular networking event at which Dubai’s school principals meet to share ideas. -muaz@khaleejtimes.com
