His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, has issued a law establishing the Fujairah College of Art and Music in the emirate, to be owned by an independent scientific body of Fujairah Culture and Media.
Based in the city of Fujairah, the college aims to qualify students for a Bachelor’s degree in the disciplines of Fine and Applied Arts and Music, including sculpture, photography, painting and calligraphy, in addition to holding courses and training programmes in these and other areas, to contribute to the development of human and cultural renaissance movement in the region. The College Board of Trustees will be chaired by Dr Shaikh Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of Fujairah Culture and Media Authority.
