Dubai: Students at UAE’s Indian schools following the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum received their results on Monday afternoon.


While individual stream toppers in the UAE have still not been declared, the All India topper was announced shortly after the results were made public.

M.Gayatri, a student of New Green Fields school in Saket was declared the All India Topper with a score of 99.2 per cent in the commerce stream. She scored 496 marks out of the total 500.

The total number of candidates who took the CBSE Class 12 examination was 1,040,368, marking an increase of about 1.2 percent over that of last year. Girls recorded a higher pass percentage (87.57) compared to boys’, which was 77.77 percent.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated those who passed the CBSE class 12 examination.

“Congratulations to all my young friends who have successfully passed the CBSE Class XII Board Exam,” the prime minister tweeted.

“Best wishes for a bright future,” he added.

The results has been uploaded on a number of websites including on http://www.results.nic.in, http://www.cbseresults.nic.in and http://www.cbse.nic.in, the board said.

Girls outshine boys in CBSE Class XII results

New Delhi: Girls again performed better than boys in the CBSE Class 12 results that were announced in New Delhi on Monday, an official said.

The pass percentage of girls was 87.57 as compared to boys’, which was 77.77 per cent.

Overall, Thiruvanathampuram region recorded the highest pass percentage of 95.41.

The pass percentage in 2015 was 82 per cent as compared to 82.70 in 2014.

New Delhi - The website of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) crashed under the heavy traffic about an hour after the Class 12 board results for all regions were declared on Monday.

The results were declared at noon.

Schools can access the results on the internet by giving their school code and email-id by registering themselves on www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in and www.cbse.nic.in.

Results can also be accessed through an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) and SMS.

According to CBSE circular, a total of 10,40,368 students appeared for the class 12 board examination.

Post-result counselling to begin from Monday

The CBSE said it would provide post-result counselling to students and parents to overcome common psychological problems and address general queries related to Class 10 and 12 results from Monday.

The CBSE will declare the Class 12 board results for all regions on Monday at 12 pm.

The voluntary, free of cost counselling, being provided for the 18th consecutive year, would continue till June 8 daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

“The CBSE counselling is an outreach programme which is carefully designed keeping the heterogeneity of student’s population and geographical spread. CBSE tele counselling is largely offered by trained counsellors and principals from within CBSE affiliated schools located in India and outside India,” a statement said.

During the counselling, 58 experts including principals, trained counsellors from CBSE affiliated government and private schools and few psychologists will be available for tele-counselling.

“Out of these, 49 are from India and 9 counsellors from outside India including Nepal, Japan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Dammam), Oman, UAE (Sharjah, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah), and Kuwait are participating in this programme,” it added.

A ‘Centralized Access System’ (CAS) similar to that of a call centre has also been introduced for better accessibility and convenience of the students who can dial a toll free number 1800 11 8004 from any part of the country and get in touch with operator for general queries related to result or with counsellors for one to one telephonic counselling.

“Counselling facility for specially abled children has also been arranged to take care of the needs of special children,” the statement added.
