The Grand Finale of Rangoli Gulf Season 3 came to an end with a spectacular programme at the GEMS Modern Academy, Nad Al Sheba.

The function was inaugurated with a lighting of the lamp and winners were announced by the Indian prime minister’s advisor T.K.A Nair to the thrill of the student participants and a packed audience from across the UAE. “The spirit of Rangoli Gulf appears to be a friendly competition where the focus is not about winning but participation and celebration,” Nair said.

He encouraged students to participate in team events like dance and music, as team spirit helps shape them into well-rounded individuals in the long run.

T.P Seetharam, Indian ambassador to the UAE, who was the chief guest for the function, said such cultural exchanges will further strengthen the emotional bond between the UAE and India and will also offer a unique opportunity to appreciate each other’s art forms.

V. Krishnakumar, director of Rangoli Gulf programme and managing director of Symphony TV, said: “Rangoli Gulf, true to its name, is eventually being planned to become an all-Gulf based competition, by taking it to other Gulf countries in the near future. The theme of Rangoli is ‘edutainment through team spirit’ and the Rangoli Gulf dream team is Symphony TV, Etisalat, E-Vision, GEMS Education, Khaleej Times, Radio Asia, Super 94.7 FM, Suno FM and NMC.”

All participating schools received two gold coins each courtesy Malabar Gold. All winning team members received Blade & Eliz watches from Basel International.
