The 15,235 teaching and administrative staff in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Western Region schools will start work on Sunday, marking the beginning of the new academic year 2016/2017.
The Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) schools will receive male and female students at all academic levels on August 28.
As part of the plan to begin the school year, the educational field employees will attend during the first week of the school year, workshops, and professional development programme for the activities to be implemented this year.
The school administrators and teachers will also be provided with a "readiness study guide", which is an effective steering guidance for the new academic year, and highlights the best practices that should be implemented to continue to raise the quality of education in schools.
The ADEC last week organised the induction for 600 new teachers who are employed to work in the Abu Dhabi schools. They were briefed about the message of ADEC, the vision and cultural expectations, and its strategic plans.
It congratulated all the teachers and administrative staff, and wished them a fruitful year full of achievements and excellence.
