New nursery mixes fun, excitement with learning

A new nursery that professes to enhance pre-school children’s creativity and critical thinking skills through fun and excitement is now open and accepting enrolees.

With a curriculum based on Smart Reader Creative Teaching Methodology, the Alnuballa Smart Reader Kids Nursery in Mohammed bin Zayed City is designed to provide a comprehensive and optimal learning for children. It is a branch of Malaysia’s Smart Reader Kids, an award-winning early years’ programme with 450 centres worldwide.

“The Smart Reader Kids curriculum is a tested and proven early years’ programme that has been around for about 30 years. The curriculum embraces the elements of fun, excitement and interest in the learning process. The teaching methodology is so captivating that it sustains the interest of children, who just love going to school,” said Mara S. Gamberoni, principal of the nursery.

Smart Reader Kids has been a winner of the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Award, selected by consumers, for three consecutive years.

Spread over a 1,200-square metre indoor and 1,000-square metre outdoor space, the new nursery boasts of safe, stimulating and colourful teaching environment, and age-appropriate learning zones for children from four months up to four years.

It has an English and Arabic Village, role play area, fun spot/indoor gym, library, dining area, kitchen and a clinic and equipped with CCTV cameras. The new school can accommodate over 100 students.

Speaking at the opening on Thursday, Gamberoni said: “Education is one of the most important investments that we can make for our future generations, who are, as Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan said, our greatest asset. At Alnuballa Smart Reader Kids Nursery our motto is ‘Give your child the best gift in the world, a quality Early Years Educational Experience’.”

The Smart Readers Kids programmes include English, Arabic, Islamic, Math and Science subjects. It also teaches smart music and movement, arts and crafts, kindercooking, smart hygiene and compute — all aimed at enhancing children’s creativity and critical thinking skills while boosting their confidence level to become world-class citizens.

“Life is not just about academic excellence and learning to read or write. Be assured that your child will imbibe many life skills and learn many priceless lessons that will enable him or her to be high achievers in this highly competitive world,” Gamberoni said.

The grand opening was attended by the royal family of Malaysia, including the Crown Prince of the state of Perlis, Malaysia, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail and the Crown Princess of the state of Perlis,Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil.
