Showcasing Indian education at its best to parents and students in the UAE, the show will continue till February 1 at Expo Centre, Sharjah. The fair hopes to attract UAE parents, known to view Indian education as a springboard for higher education and jobs.

“Our exhibition is the perfect platform for parents and students in the UAE to connect with Indian educational institutions directly on a face to face basis,” said Sanjeev Bolia, Founder and Managing Director of Afairs Exhibition & Media, organisers of the Great Indian Education Fair.

Observing the rising number of UAE students entering India on student visas to study in international boarding schools and Indian colleges and universities, he states: “They send their children to India because they understand that English language proficiency apart, the cost-benefit advantage an Indian education offers is greater than what a similar education in the United Kingdom, the United States or even in UAE can give.”

‘Spot counselling’ and ‘spot admission’ offers will be among the highlights of this exhibition.

Some of the well-known residential schools in India like Genesis Global School (Delhi NCR), Vidya Sanskar International School (Faridabad), Unison World School (Dehradun), Jain International School (Bangalore), Greenwood High (Bangalore) and International School Aamby (Pune) provide Indian and international curricula.

Some of the participating institutions are Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Alliance University, Nitte University, MS Ramaiah, Acharya Institutes, Manav Rachna International University and Apeejay Stya University. EdCIL, a government of India enterprise is also participating.
