The importance of high quality education for children and the positive role played by reading in developing their intellectual capacity were discussed at a meeting held on Thursday in Amman between Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan and Shaikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), patron of the UAE Board on Books for Young People (UAEBBY) and head of the Organising Committee of Knowledge Without Borders (KWB). The Sharjah delegation will visit the Emirati-Jordanian Camp for Syrian Refugees and open a 3,000-book library in the camp.
