He emphasised that there will be no tolerance with teaching and educational staff who are not performing well in the emirate.

The Sharjah Ruler made the remarks during the honouring ceremony held at Victoria International School to honour the participants of the joint training programme organised by the Sharjah Education Council and Ministry of Education in conjunction with Victorian International School and Australian International School in Sharjah.

At the conclusion of the training programme, Sheikh Sultan called on all members of the teaching staff to discharge their educational mission with honesty and credibility since they are the basis for building a knowledgeable generation that will address future challenges.

Sheikh Sultan tasked the Sharjah Education Council to assess and evaluate standards of the new teachers in Sharjah Schools, stressing the importance of testing the capabilities for those who are going to shoulder this responsibility to ensure that they have the potentials and qualifications to perform the job.

He also confirmed his daily follow-up and monitoring for schools to settle problems, pointing out priority should be given to the young.

Shaikh Sultan thanked the participants, calling on them to transfer what they have learnt to students.

Sharjah Ruler was received by Humaid bin Mohammed Obaid Al Qattami, Minister of Education, Dr. Abdullah Saleh Al Suaiji, Chairman of Sharjah Education Council, Dr. Amr Abdel-Hamid, Special Advisor to Sharjah Ruler for Higher Education and a number of Ministry of Education officials, teachers and administration members.

Al Qattami, in a statement said, “It is a pleasure to me to extend thanks and gratitude for your limitless support for the educational process in the country, and your wise directives to the ministry to discharge the chalked out plans.”
