A new initiative by Skyline University College (SUC) has introduced grants to encourage students coming from low-income families to complete their higher education. A total of 16 students, eight from Pakistani Schools in the UAE and eight from Indian Schools, will be selected for this academic year.

SUC in association with the Pakistan Association Dubai and Indian Consulate will sponsor tuition fees of students of grade 12. After evaluating the financial condition of students, SUC will pay one full year’s tuition fees of students found eligible for the scholarship. However, names of these students are yet to be finalised, said SUC sources.

Nitin Anand, Chair of Executive Council, SUC, said: “Skyline believes in fulfilling its corporate social responsibility towards the community, society and stakeholders enabling them to continue studies by offering various types of scholarships. SUC will be paying one full year tuition fees in total for all the students found eligible for the scholarship and we have initiated these efforts with the support of the Indian Consulate and Pakistani Association Dubai so that we can reach out to the students who really deserve the benefit of this grant.”
