GEMS Education has announced the appointment of Brendan Law to head its portfolio of GEMS Wellington British curriculum schools, as the school network continues to strengthen its senior leadership team.
Brendan will join GEMS Education in April 2018, as Vice-President of Education with responsibility for GEMS Wellington Primary School; GEMS Wellington International School; GEMS Wellington Academy - Silicon Oasis; and GEMS Wellington Academy - Al Khail, where he will primarily be based. He will support these schools towards their next level of excellence.
A charismatic, visionary and strategic education leader, with a proven track record in first-class schools, Brendan will join GEMS from Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, which he launched in 2014. Under his vision and direction, Cranleigh achieved Band A Status within 128 operational days, was named New British International School of the Year 2017, was runner up in UAE Top Schools Awards 2017 (top in Abu Dhabi) and is shortlisted as TES International School of the Year 2018. Prior to this, he established and led Brighton College in Abu Dhabi.

Brendan was listed as a UAE Education Influencer 2017 by WhichSchoolAdvisor, and he advises numerous government agencies as well as the UAE Crown Prince Court, with Cranleigh playing a leading role in the development of the Moral Education Programme.  
In addition to his passion for education, he looks forward to sailing, cycling and stand up paddle boarding in his spare time.
