Heads up, Grade 10 and 12 students of UAE Indian schools: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday issued a revised date sheet, rescheduling all the exams set between May 13 and 16, the likely dates for Eid Al Fitr.

The Grade 10 science paper for May 15 will now be held on May 21, and the math paper earlier scheduled on May 21 is moved to June 2. Also, Arabic and Sanskrit to be held on June 2 will now on June 3.

Meanwhile, the Grade 12 physics paper on May 13 got postponed to June 8. National Cadet Corps, marketing and geospatial technology exams to be held on June 8 are moved to June 12.

Also, dates of math and applied math have been swapped with Hindi. Now, math and applied math will be on May 31 and Hindi on June 1. And geography will be held on June 3.

According to Islamic Finder’s calculation, the Holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin on Tuesday, April 13 and Eid on Thursday, May 13. Considering the new exam dates, students will have enough time to celebrate with their family until the weekend of Saturday, May 15.

Though the CBSE hasn’t issued an official clarification to explain the reason behind the revision, the new schedule bodes well for students, especially Muslims, who can now mark the festival without worrying about exams.
