Umm Al Quwain: The Umm Al Quwain Education Zone has successfully filled the vacancies in various schools in 10 basic subjects in the emirate by recruiting and transferring 59 teachers.

A senior official at the UAQ Education Zone said they have also filled the vacant posts of physical education teachers.

Saeed Ali bin Hussain, Acting Director General of the UAQ Education Zone, said all the administrative vacancies have been filled as well. “The resignations of some staff have been approved while some others were transferred.”

Up to 60 Emirati administrative staffers are working at the UAQ Education Zone, he said. “There are 1,000 education and administrative cadres in the schools of the emirate.”

Bin Hussain said the UAQ Education Zone has entered into an agreement with some food suppliers accredited by the Ministry of Education to supply meals to four kindergartens in the emirate for this academic year. “The contracted suppliers will be supplying ... healthy meals to Narges, Amwaj, Aghsan, and Khawla bint Hakeem kindergartens.”

Bin Hussaid added that 89 school buses meet the needs of all the schools and kindergartens in UAQ. “There is no shortage ... all schools have enough buses.”
