University honours 'heart-giving individuals'

Dubai - Mentors who are key to community education have been described as "heart-giving individuals".

The University of Dubai (UoD) honoured its 'heart-giving individuals' during the fifth anniversary celebrations of UoD Alumni-Student Mentoring Programme.
According to the UoD Alumni Association's Alumni-Student Mentoring Programme (ASMP), mentors who are key to community education have been described as "heart-giving individuals".
Speaking at the fifth anniversary celebrations of the Programme at the Dubai Chamber, Dr Eesa M. Bastaki, president of the UoD, said, "Mentoring involves exchange of ideas between those who experienced success in education and those who are about to discover it."
Dr Bastaki also offered his support for the Alumni Association.Amina El Mazak, director of the alumni and students affairs department, thanked the mentors for their commitment, and pointed out that UoD was the first university in the UAE to launch the alumni mentoring programme.
