Horouf Educational Publishing, a subsidiary of Kalimat Publishing Group, organised a training course on the use of the Horouf application, the region’s first-of-its-kind solution that integrates modern technologies into the Arabic learning experience.

The move comes in implementation of the initiative launched by His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to support learning in the Arabic language by using smart technologies. The five-day workshop was held in collaboration with the Sharjah Education Council and Sharjah Educational Zone.

Two training sessions were run for 97 teachers in the Eastern Region of Sharjah and another three sessions were conducted for 125 teachers in the city of Sharjah. They learnt how to use the Horouf application on tablets under the supervision of the trainer, Mariam Al Fawzan, who explained it features and role in developing Arabic language skills.

She introduced practical examples on using the application for different age groups with the aim to make an inspiring breakthrough in educational performance and encourage children to care for their mother tongue.

Shaikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Founder and CEO of Kalimat Publishing Group, visited the training workshop of female teachers to view their experience and interaction. She was delighted with the completion of the first phase of training in a short span of time, thanks to the collaboration of Sharjah Education Council and Sharjah Educational Zone as well as to the eagerness of teachers to learn the Horouf application.
