Ajman — Students of Grades 10, 11 and 12 from all schools in the UAE have been invited to showcase project works, working models and posters apart from audio visual presentations during the two-day annual Medical and Science Exhibition (GMU MASE 2015) organised by Gulf Medical University.
This year’s exhibition scheduled to be held on May 20 and 21 at the university in Ajman is set to break all previous records in terms of number of projects and attendance by school students.
The exhibition is held every year under the guidance of Thumbay Moideen, Founder President, Board of Governors of the university and the active supervision of the academic leadership of all the constituent colleges of Gulf Medical University.
The university management rewards students with cash prizes and recognises their talent. Over 4,000 students are expected to visit the event and showcase over 200 projects including models and posters.
Like last year, this year’s event will also include a painting competition. The students will also benefit from watching live demonstration of dissection on cadavers in the anatomy lab, and can also visit the centre for advanced simulation in healthcare, dental simulation lab, and anatomy and pathology museums.
The event encourages students to get more knowledge of the medicine and healthcare profession.
The event will culminate with a prize distribution ceremony on May 21 with cash prizes worth more than Dh25,000. The projects will be judged by an expert panel consisting of faculty members from the university. Schools with maximum participation will win special prizes.
