Three Emirati trekkers were rescued by the Ras Al Khaimah Police airforce after they got stuck on a mountain.
Exhausted trekkers were airlifted by the police chopper from a Saliyat Al Baql mountain within 15 minutes of being notified, according to a senior officer.
Group Commander Saeed Al Yamahi, head of the air wing section at the Ras Al Khaimah Police, said they were alerted about the three trekkers at 6.30am. "The trio was found over exhausted at a height of 4,000 feet. The men were given first aids and airlifted to the nearest hospital.
"The public is urged to avoid trekking the mountains during hot summer months for their safety," he added.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has repetitively called upon the public to adhere to public health and safety instructions. "Stay home during the restricted period to remain safe."
