Dubai: Car gutted after catching fire on highway

Dubai - No casualties were reported.

A vehicle caught fire on the Dubai-Al Ain Road, the civil defence has confirmed.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control within a short period of time, but the vehicle was totally gutted.

The incident led to traffic jams on the highway.

The civil defence was alerted about the blaze around 5.30pm on Tuesday. Firefighters reached the spot near Liwan within six minutes.

No casualties were reported.
