Petrol and diesel prices in the UAE will rise from today.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the price of 98 unleaded gasoline will cost Dh2.24 - an increase of 0.09 fils - while 95 unleaded gasoline will cost Dh2.12 next month, an increase of 0.08 fils on December prices.
Similarly, 91 unleaded gasoline will cost Dh2.05 per litre - an increase of 0.08 fils.
Fuel prices had also risen in December.
Diesel rates have been hiked to Dh2.33 for January, according to the Ministry of Energy, which is an increase of 0.13 fils.
VAT is inclusive in gasoline and deisel prices starting January 1, 2018, the ministry added.
The highest prices that the UAE motorists had to pay was in August 2015, the first month after the deregulation, when 98 unleaded gasoline and 95 unleaded gasoline were priced at Dh2.25 and Dh 2.14 per litre - respectively.
