For many Filipinos, working - let alone, visiting Europe is one of their greatest dreams. But the process of getting into this part of the world is quite stringent and requires a good amount of effort.
But if you've ever wanted to move elsewhere to further your career, the Czech Republic is looking for a lot of Filipino workers. And by a lot, we mean a thousand jobs up for grabs.
According to the Filipino Times, Philippine Embassy Charge d'affaires Jed Dayang said Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis made the remarks to him during a diplomatic event in Prague, the Czech capital. He also reveals that the move to hire more Filipino workers is part of a labour expansion by the eastern European country to hire more migrant workers from Ukraine, Mongolia and the Philippines.
Dayang also remarked that Filipinos are 'highly valued for their good work, good character, and for integrating well in Czech society.'
Currently, there are 1,005 Filipino expats working in the Czech Republic.
