A brave boss in Germany has put out a new rule, according to which staff can take as many holidays as they want without getting their salary deducted, provided all their work is complete on time.
Ullrich Kastner, the founder of a German hotel broker company, said he wanted to reward the 37 staff working under him. The new rule is effective immediately and the is expected to run for a year.
What enabled Kastner to take this decision is that he thinks "his team has proven it can take over responsibility".
"My employees are not supposed to work according to the regulations, but to work towards a goal."
Kastner explained his only concern was that no work is left behind, adding the new rules allow staff to enjoy a better work-life balance.
