Agreed, it's slightly awkward to ask for money back from friends and strangers, but a man did just that and social media went on a frenzy.
18-year old Abby Fenton, a university student from Barnsley, UK, accepted a drink from a man called Liam.
The Biomedical Sciences student, told TheLADbible: "He came up to me and he seemed okay. Then he offered to buy me a drink so I accepted then walked off to join my friends. I just remember him being tall. I literally asked nothing about him. I didn't find him good looking, I just thought it was a free drink."
Little did she know it was anything but free as weeks later she received a message from him asking if she could transfer him the money for it.

Should I have paid back the £6.50"Everybody has told me they find it so funny. Literally all people say is that they can't believe how cheeky it is!" she told TheLADbible.

@abbyfent17 IN MY 22 YEARS OF LIFE I HAR NEVER ENCOUNTERED SUCH A PETTY THING TO ASK FOR ??????Later Fenton, transferred the money back to his account. she said: "I'm glad I did. I just hope that he enjoys spending his £6.50 wisely."
