Plane makes emergency landing as passenger wouldn't stop passing gas

Dubai - Four people had to be taken off the plane after the emergency landing.

A flatulent passenger aboard a Dubai to Amsterdam flight annoyed his fellow passengers so much that a scuffle broke out and the plane had to make an emergency landing in Vienna.

The elderly overweight man reportedly did not pay heed to the complaints of the two Dutch men sitting next to him and the verbal argument ensued into a fight. The matter was reported to the Transavia Airlines crew and the pilot of the plane ordered the passenger to control flatulence as it annoyed other passengers. But the man ignored the repeated requests and that's when pilot decided to make emergency landing in Vienna.

At the Vienna airport, police officers asked four people to get off the plane in connection to the mid-air ruckus.

According to Mirror, a police spokesman confirmed the incident and stated that two Dutch men were annoyed by the elderly passenger's flatulence and this resulted into a fight on the plane. The police also escorted off the plane two sisters who were sitting in the same row as the men and later told that they had to bear the brunt even when they were not involved in any way.

Nora Lachhab, 25, was quoted as saying, "It was crazy that we were included, we had no idea who these boys were, we just had the bad luck to be in the same row and we didn't do anything. We had to find our own flights home with another airline. All I will say is that the crew were really provocative and stirred things up."

Moreover, the airline's spokesman told local media that the four people who were escorted off the plane have been banned from flying on Tansavia, adding, that the women were also guilty of misbehaviour and verbal abuse.

The spokesman said, "Our crew must ensure a safe flight. When passengers pose risks, they immediately intervene and know very well where the boundaries are."
