45-year-old homeless man Marcello Cimino was burned to death in Palermo, southern Italy.
The victim was set alight by a man who threw petrol on him while he slept on the street.
The incident has been recorded on CCTV camera. The footage shows the victim sleeping on a mattress outside a soup kitchen.
The accused is seen carrying a bucket of liquid which he throws on Cimino and sets him alight.
According to the Daily Mail, the mattress on which the victim slept burns with a huge explosion. The accused, dressed all in black, flees while the victim burns to death before the emergency services arrive at the scene.
The accused was arrested by the police and has confessed to the crime.
