An American Airlines plane has been evacuated at Heathrow Airport in London with passengers seen escaping down an emergency slide.
Pictures and videos from Twitter showed passengers, disembarking via a slide towards the runway at the rear of the aircraft.
The evacuation reportedly took place due to smoke in the cabin.
Airport fire crews were dispatched to the aircraft, but no-one appeared to be injured during the alert on Sunday morning.
According to reports, the evacuated flight was American Airlines Flight 731, due to leave London Heathrow at 1.30pm local time, and arrive at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina at 5.20pm local time.

A video was posted on Twitter by Ross Hiscock, who was on another plane right next to the one being evacuated.
The video shows the American Airlines passengers throwing themselves down the slides at the rear of the aircraft. Smoke could be seen coming from the rear of the aircraft, in a picture which was taken before the evacuation.
