'You can't ban Shawarmas', Moscow declares war

Whether it's grilled, sauteed, baked, or roasted, it's the ultimate weakness of millions in the UAE, and clearly many in Russia's capital city Moscow - SHAWARMAS!
Authorities in Moscow have threatened to impose a ban on the Lebanese snack, claiming that the stalls failed to comply with sanitation standards - and it's not going down well with Muscovites.
Announcing a revolutionary rallying cry of sorts, city official Alexey Nemeryuk told Russian radio station Komsomolskaya Pravda, "We are ridding the streets of all shawarma. It's going to disappear completely".
"Cooking in a tent where there is no water, sanitation, are not complied with conditions of storage products, is already causing rejection of the food that they prepare," he added.
Nemeryuk later clarified and told TV Rain that he wasn't calling for a ban on all stalls, just one in particular. But it was too late. Outraged Muscovites came to the rescue of their favourite Lebanese street food, announcing a war aka 'Shawarmageddon'. Soon after #ShaurmaZhivi - translated as "long live shawarma" or "shawarma will survive" - started trending on Twitter.
 

Some are relying on the magical powers of the Iron man and Avengers for saving Shawarmas.
 5 tips to make your shawarma safer
* Look for spacious shawarma joints as small ones with more items on the menu are likely to face food safety risks
* Don't go for first layers of meat from the cone as they are likely to be mixed with juice that drips from raw marinated meat
* Get the meat shaved off straight. Unevenly cut meat cone doesn't ensure proper cooking of all parts of the shawarma.
* Make certain the mayonnaise, if used, is made of pasteurised eggs as raw eggs can cause salmonella infection
* Make sure the veggies used in salads that accompany shawarmas are kept chilled and stored properly
