Burberrys Christopher Bailey in Dubai

Reaffirming that luxury brands firmly have the Middle East on top-of-mind is the news that Burberry's Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer - widely reputed for the brand's turn-around - Christopher Bailey is coming to Dubai.
The brand will be holding a VIP Private event in early April at its flagship store in Mall of the Emirates. This event looks set to be the highlight of Dubai's calendar for this sea-son. Though Bailey has been to the city before, this is his first official visit.
Burberry currently have 19 stores in the region, but this 15,000 square foot flagship in Mall of the Emirates is its largest.Modelled on Burberry's iconic London Regent Street store, it has the region's first Burberry Beauty area, and a digital lip and nail bar which allows you to virtually try out the latest shades before you buy, speaks of the brand's dedication to technology.Last September, Bailey even held the Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer collection virtually.
The whole collection was unveiled on Snapchat, which was a fashion first. Bai-ley is a believer in straight- off-the-runway buying and is always looking to see how he can change it up. A brand that is always on the pulse, a few seasons ago, Bailey made the personalised poncho-style blanket the must-have of the season, and for this season, Burberry is all about the personalised nylon backpack."Function reglia" is the name of the current collection, which is full of delicate hued slip dresses.
Burberry is the go-to brand for London's it girls, the likes of Kate Moss, Sienna Miller or the Prime Minister's wife Samantha Cameron. Bailey is today one of the industry's most respected designers; the Brit who has previously work-ed with Gucci is credited for turning around Burberry, making it one of the most sought after fashion houses today.
