Al Ain Football Club are in Austria for their pre-season training. Al Ain will play a series of friendlies against Austrian second division clubs Anif, Puch, Karabusports from Turkey, Concordia from Romania, Paralimini of Cyprus before playing their last game against the Azerbaijan Olympic team.
Al Ain’s Argentine recruit Jose Sand opened the scoring in the 10th minute and Sufian Al Loudi added the second in the 27th minute. Faisel Ali rounded it off by scoring seven minutes from the final whistle.
Al Ain first team coach Abdul Hameed Al Mistake stressed that the game was a good experience and preparation ahead of the UAE-Pro League.
“We gave opportunities for many youth players to participate and present themselves such as Ahmed Abdulla Al Shamsi, Hamad Al Mari, Bander Mohamed and Ahmed Sahal. I think that they will represent a strong support to the team in the future.
“They need to show their best abilities in training and matches to keep knocking for a call-up to the first team,” Al Mistake said.
Meanwhile, earlier, Abdul Hameed Al Mistake held a meeting with the players.
He also held a meeting with technical and administrative staff.
“We selected Austria for our abroad camp because of its good weather, good pitches for training sessions.
About the players who are recuperating from injuries, Al Mistake said: “The injured players have started their special programmes and will come back to the team gradually. We are not in a hurry and they will join the team after they have fully recovered from their injuries.”
Al Mistake was looking forward to the new season.
“I have unlimited ambitions with Al Ain and our goals in the new season is to compete and win the UAE Pro-League, UFL Cup and the AFC champions league,” Al Mistake said.
About the pre-season training Al Mistake said: “We have six matches during three weeks and we have 40 players and we want to give them opportunities to participate. I am fully confident of my players’ abilities.”
Al Ain will play their second friendly game against another Austrian second division club Puch.
