Al Wahda’s Al Hosani to replace Abdul Rahman
DUBAI — The UAE head coach Sreèko Katanec added Al Wahda’s keeper Adel Al Hosani and Al Jazira’s forward Saleh Al Menhali to the short-list of the senior national team ahead of their warm-up clash against Kuwait at Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi on September 7, 2010.
Al Hosani will replace Al Ain’s keeper Yousuf Abdul Rahman who was involved in a traffic accident on Thursday.
The friendly game is part of the team’s preparations for the 20th Gulf Cup in Yemen and the AFC Asian Cup finals which will be held in Doha, Qatar, in January, 2011.
The national team will start a short training camp at the Fairmont Hotel from Saturday and carry out their training sessions at the playground of the Zayed Sports City.
The players: Majid Nasser and Sami Rabie (Al Wasl), Ali Khusaif, Salem Masoud, Khaled Sabeel, Abdullah Mosa, Subait Khater (Al Jazira), Ali Al Weihibi (Al Ain), Yousuf Jaber, Zeyab Awana, Amer Abdul Rahman, Sultan Al Ghafiri (Bani Yas), Hamdan Al Kamali, Mahmoud Khamis, Mohammed Al Shehhi, Saeed Al Kathiri, Ismail Matar, Adel Al Hosani (Al Wahda), Ahmed Khalil (Al Ahli), Waleed Abbas (Al Shabab), Amer Mubarak Ghanim (Al Nasr).
