The event will take place at Capital Club’s premises in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) on Thursday, the eve of the 2010 World Cup. Attendees will enjoy an exciting evening watching a documentary covering past FIFA events over drinks and canapés.

Speaking of the event, Capital Club CEO Russell Matcham said, “The World Cup is one of the most exciting events, as the world game it is followed by everybody whether your country’s team is participating or not. For the non partisan, Brazil is the perennial favourite, but this may be the most open FIFA world cup ever with a host of teams with the ability to win. Capital Club Dubai decided to host a special event for our members and their guests on the eve of the World Cup, where they can get together with others of similar interests and look back over what has happened in the last 80 years in the world of football. For serious fans, the documentary offers a chance to reminisce, while for those who are not as up on the game, it will present a chance to learn a little more about what makes it so popular.”
