AL AIN — Al Ain Brazilian coach Antonio Carlos Cerezo has been sacked, close sources to the UAE richest football club told Khaleej Times on Wednesday.
Al Ain were beaten 2-3 by Pakhtakour in Tashkent on Tuesday and ejected out of the AFC Champions League. The senior team was also pulled out of the race for the title of the Pro-League, President Cup and Etisalat Cup.
“This season is exceptional by all means for a leading club like Al Ain. It didn’t happen before that and hopefully it will not happen again,” the sources said.
