The Whites will take on Kuwait in the final on Saturday at the same venue.

UAE brilliant forward Ahmed Khalil visited the back of the net in the 32st and 61st minutes. Qatari striker Abdul Aziz Al Ansari reduced the deficit to 1-2 before substitute Haboush Saleh increased the advantage to 3-1 in the injury time.

After the slow start the UAE players managed to set their pace and exchange attacks with their opponents who led the first threat against their keeper. Amer Abdul Rahman and Omer Abdul Rahman did all the work in the midfield and provided the strikers with beautiful passes without much success in the final touch. The UAE ended the first half on a very high note after Ahmed Khalil made the best of the perfect through from Omer Abdul Rahman to beat the Qatari keeper in great style.

Khalil came again to double the score-line from a spoon-fed cross from Mohammed Fawzi who operated on the right flank.

Towards the 87th minute, the Qataris revived their hope with a lovely move, but substitute Haboush Saleh settled the dispute with a long range shot to make it 3-1 with less than two minutes to go from the four minutes injury time.

The talented UAE playmaker Omer Abdulrahman was voted the man of the match and honoured by Mirza Ahmed, assistant secretary general of the organising committee. The UAE delegation celebrated the splendid performance and victory with a special dinner ceremony at the Tent Restaurant which was also attended by head of the delegation Rashid Al Zaabi.

The delegation also welcomed the fans at a special dinner and thanked the faithful supporters for their great effort and firm stand behind the team.
