UAE-India football friendly on Nov 18

DUBAI - The technical committee of UAEFA has approved the preparation programme of the senior football national team ahead of the Gulf Cup challenge and the 2011 Doha AFC Asian Cup.

The players will gather in Dubai from November 10 to 21, 2010 and play a friendly against India on November 18, according to a statement by the FA following a meeting of the UAEFA technical committee on Monday.

After returning from Yemen, the national team will start another training camp from December 5 to January 6, 2011 before they travel to Doha. The Boys in White will play two friendlies in between against Syria on January 2 and Australia on January 6. The AFC Asian Cup finals will be held from January 7 to 29, 2011.

The Olympic national team will also prepare for the 2012 London Games qualifiers immediately after they return from China by the end of the ongoing Asian Games football competitions.

Meanwhile, Mohammed KhalfanAl Rumaithi, president of UAEFA, will head the UAE delegation at the 20th edition of the Gulf Cup scheduled in Yemen from November 22 to December 5, 2010.
