The Whites are preparing for their upcoming commitments, including the 20th edition of the Gulf Cup in Yemen and the 2011 Doha AFC Asian Cup finals.

The national team carried out their final work-out at the Zalamsy training facility in which all the short-listed 24 players took part and appeared in good shape.

Slovenian head coach Srecko Katanec focused on free kicks and the tactics to be adopted in the game during the final work-out.

However, the players showed great determination to display their best skills. Katanec looked delighted and satisfied with the high spirit and motivation of the players.

The UAE will take on Algeria on May 5 in their second test before they conclude their training session and return home.

Players ready

The players said they are well prepared for the game.

Al Ahli’s brilliant forward Ahmed Khalil said: “The game is very crucial for the coach and players as well. We will do our best to translate the coach’s plans and tactics on the pitch and obtain a positive result before our friendly against Algeria.”

“The players are in their best form from all respects, thanks to the hard work of the camp’s management to provide all means of comfort for them. This training camp is very important for our Gulf Cup and AFC Asian Cup campaigns.”

Malullah recovers

Al Ain’s forward Mohammed Malullah has been successfully operated in Munich after suffering renewed cartilage injury which forced him to discontinue the training camp of the national team.
