The Fire and New York Red Bulls shared the points in a 0-0 draw.

The match was one of the most hyped of the Major League Soccer season, with former Barcelona star Rafael Marquez making his debut in a Red Bulls uniform, Nery Castillo making his first appearance for the Fire and Ljungberg playing his first game in Chicago.

But it was Johnson who had the big night with seven saves, including one to a close-range header from Juan Pablo Angel in the first minute of stoppage time that ensured the draw.

At Frisco, Texas, Jeff Cunningham scored twice in the last 15 minutes as FC Dallas extended its unbeaten streak to nine matches with a 3-1 win over the Union.

Cunningham, a second-half substitute, scored with a header from the top of the box in the 75th minute for a 2-1 lead. His second goal came on a right-foot shot from 10 yards in the 81st.

Philadelphia’s Alejandro Moreno opened the scoring with a header from the top of the box in the 9th minute and David Ferreira equalized with a penalty in the 24th minute after Union goalkeeper Brad Knighton received a red card for a rough tackle in the area.
