FIGME Golf Society excel in BMW League

SHARJAH — In the BMW League FIGME Golf Society recorded wins in both of their matches against the KEGS, a press release said.

Ronald Javier (26) and Oliver Crisostomo (15) defeated Axel Jacob (17) and Gary White (24) 3 &2. After 10 holes the game was all square until Javier turned on the magic and the pairing won the next three holes which included a gross birdie 2 from Crisostomo at the par 3 12th.

The team of Eric Matabang (15) Rudy Laguna (20) got their second win after beating Peter Gaskin (14) and Neil Bam (19). After taking six points, the FIGME have now put themselves in a great position to challenge for the number one spot.

They are now just three points behind the leaders.

In the other games, the Indian Golf Society took maximum points against the DAGS and the Golf Rock Society took all six points on offer against the UAE Nepalese Society.

In the SAIF–Zone league, the Etihad Pilot Golf Society played against the Mott Macdonald Golf Society.

Playing for the Pilots, Hisham Yusof (10) and Martin Sutherland (15) played against Steve Blanford (24) and Adrian Adams (18) with the Pilots coming out on top with a hard fought 2 and 1 victory.

The other game went better for the Mott Macdonald Golf Society after Rob Russell (22) and Mark Dupree (18) stormed to a crushing 4 & 3 victory against Brian Mullen (0) & Rizal Shuaibi (16).

The Dubai Welsh Golf Society recorded their best win to date after winning both of their games against the JAGS.
