Dubai revelled in yet another sporting experiment.
In a video posted by Visit Dubai, 2017 Omega Dubai Desert Classic champion Sergio Garcia faces off with Indian superstar Anirban Lahiri in a friendly game of golf. But instead of staging their showdown in the many golf courses available in town (Read: Emirates Golf Club/Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club), they faced off - out of all the places - in Skydive Dubai.
The two golfers were positioned along the runway - yes, the runway - as they shot golf balls down the 800m-stretch to where the pin is. Apart from the distance, many of their balls met their watery fate in the Arabian Gulf.
What's more, planes kept buzzing overhead while the golfers were busy shooting off balls to see who gets closest to the pin.
At the end of the match, Indian golfer Lahiri won - making the golf ball reach a distance of 642m. Watch the exhilarating video below.
