3295 policemen promoted in Dubai
A total of 3295 commissioned and non-commissioned police officers of Dubai Police on Tuesday were promoted by a decision by Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The decision promotes Brigadier Pilot Ahmad Mohammad Bin Thani - Director-General of Dubai Police’s General Department of Airport Security and Brigadier Talal Humaid Abdullah Balhol, Deputy Director General of State Security to the rank of Major General.
The promotions were announced by Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Dubai Police Chief.
He said the decision also promotes Colonel Dr. Khaled Ali Ghanim Al-Marri to the rank of brigadier, 10 lieutenant colonels to the rank of colonel, 70 majors to lieutenant colonels, 46 captains to major generals, 80 first lieutenants to captains, and 113 lieutenants to first lieutenants.
Also 44 staff warrant officers were promoted to the rank of lieutenant by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid’s decision.
Tamim expressed thanks to His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid for providing dignified life to all the Dubai Police staff.
