The need to reduce response time, improve public safety standards and provide the public with best services came up for discussion at the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence General Directorate high level meeting recently.

Major-General Al Nuaimi also stressed the Abu Dhabi Police's desire to increase the efficiency of the Civil Defence aimed at reducing response time.
Lt. Colonel Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Ansari, Director-General of Civil Defence in Abu Dhabi, announced the implementation of a redistribution plan for the geographical jurisdiction of centres affiliated with the wAbu Dhabi Civil Defence General Directorate.
"This will lead to a shorter response time across all regions by using a number of smart programmes that decrease the amount of response time, limit the loss of lives and property, and increase the community's trust in the quality of services provided, at a low cost through leveraging existing resources," he said.
"The ministry is responsible for increasing social awareness in the Civil Defence and Public Safety sector to protect people from accidents, spread the culture of prevention, encourage inclination towards individual responsibility, and inform about public safety requirements at home and work as a strategic support to Civil Defence," he said.
