Dubai Municipality launches priority services for elderly Emiratis

The Dubai Municipality (DM) has tied up with the Community Development Authority (CDA) to launch the project that seeks to serve and support senior Emirati citizens in the emirate.

Elderly Emiratis over 60 years of age will now get free Hepatitis vaccination service at their homes as part of special services rolled out for them in Dubai.

The immunisation service with a certification of “immunity against epidemic diseases” is one of the initiatives under the project which also aims at supporting senior citizens financially.

Emiratis above 60 will get 10 per cent discount in leasing facilities at the municipality-managed Children’s City. They can also receive a 10per cent discount on purchasing 50 sacks of fertilizers yearly for their farms.

Senior Emirati citizens can also park their vehicles without charge in the fish market parking area even after the auction time. In addition, DM will also provide them a service of buying, slaughtering animals and delivering it to their homes on demand. These citizens will get priority in other DM services as well.

Khalid Badri, director of Customer Relations Department, said: “We have launched a bunch of useful services to serve Emirati citizens above 60 years, considering the social responsibility towards elderly people.”
