Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development and President of Zayed University, stressed that the UAE Women's Day is a milestone event that marks the nation's presence in the international arena.
"Today, we can see that the tremendous efforts of our wise leadership have helped in the empowerment of the UAE women. This was possible due to the support of the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who spared no effort and laid strong foundations for promoting their capacities.
The same approach has been embraced by the current leadership of the UAE, and this is evident from the succession of achievements by the UAE women.
"The historic achievements of the UAE women...could not have been achieved without the unlimited support and sponsorship of Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, and Head of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
