In presence of Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Shaikh Mohammed praised the enormous efforts exerted by Government Excellence Programme members who work as one team to catalyse the progressive march of development of the country.
Representing the Government Excellence Programmes of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah, more than 100 young men and women attended the Ramadan gathering at Shaikh Mohammed’s palace.
Motivating his guests, Shaikh Mohammed urged the team members to work hard to realise the aspirations of Emirati citizens and to champion excellence in all fields of government-related services.
“I am delighted to meet such forward-thinking Emirati young men and women who strive to see our beloved country attain a leading position among world countries,” Shaikh Mohammed said.
“I, and my brother UAE President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan thank you for the tremendous work you are doing,” Shaikh Mohammed added.
Additionally, Shaikh Mohammed called on the young men and women in Government Excellence Programmes across the UAE to embrace a higher understanding of teamwork in accordance with the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Shaikh Mohammed spoke highly of the ambitions of Emirati youth and assured them that they rank top on the priority list of the UAE President. He also stressed on the element of positive energy as the key to optimism, innovation, attaining excellence and achieving the goals of UAE Vision 2021.
“Forward-thinking and maintaining a positive outlook were qualities we learned from the late Shaikh Zayed and his brother the late Shaikh Rashid... Such qualities helped us build the modern United Arab Emirates we see today,” Shaikh Mohammed said.
Shaikh Mohammed noted the importance of setting up the Emirates Excellence Council that will serve as a crucible that will transform and refine the approach of attaining excellence in government services across all sectors.
The gathering was also attended by Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority Shaikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammed Abdullah Al Gargawi and a number of government officials.
