Prof Conde said this precious gift received from the people of the UAE strengthened the ties between the two countries.
Professor Alpha Conde, President of Guinea, has hailed the aid provided by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation to the people of his country, especially medical aid, which contributes significantly to the improvement of medical services in the country.
Professor Conde highlighted the importance of the assistance provided by the UAE, when he received a delegation from the Khalifa Foundation headed by Eid Al Mazroui and Mohammed Al Taee, Charge d’Affaires at the UAE Embassy in Senegal.
The delegation delivered 60 tonnes of medical equipment valued at $5 million, in implementation of the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The aid package was officially received during a ceremony attended by Mohamed Said Fofana, Prime Minister of Guinea, as well as a number of ministers and senior officials in Guinea.
Prof Conde said this precious gift received from the people of the UAE strengthened the ties between the two countries and comes at a time when his country is in dire need, expressing appreciation for this great medical support .
The Guinean President conveyed his greetings to Shaikh Khalifa; General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; and Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation.
Said Fofana in a speech on the occasion, expressed his appreciation for the medical equipment provided by the UAE, saying these would contribute to the provision of healthcare to a large section of the people and address the lack of such equipment, especially for dialysis.
