Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash posted on his Twitter account that Kuwait is a clear victim of such foreign plots.
Rejecting accusations of human rights violations in the country, he said the UAE does not need lecturing from abroad.
Gargash said some Islamic institutions in Europe are working for pure partisan purposes. Instead of targeting the UAE, these institutions should be representing “our great religion and its civilised message”.
“I think the painful developments in Kuwait confirm a coordinated plot spurred by the Arab Spring events,” he said, condemning calls for a change in the region regardless of the extend of success the GCC states have achieved.
He said the present crisis has unmasked pretentious players and diffrentiated the real preachers of our great religion from those who speak the ideologies of partisan countries.
He said the dimensions and objectives of the clandestine Al Islah Group have become clear to the common men. “The people have realised their agenda, at the expense of national security, under the cover of religion.
“The UAE is an ambitious, kind and merciful country that deserves reciprocity in its benevolence and love,” Dr Gargash said.
Regarding a recent statement by the European Parliamentary Union seeking to punish the UAE, he explained that the institution made such an arbitrary decision without seeking the UAE’s explanation.
He said the UAE is proud of its human rights record and is open to any discussion. “We talk one language — the language of development, stability and tolerance, and is not ready to borrow the language of others.
