Uninvited attendees
 at Government Summit
 pay Dh15,000 each

Since some had not registered their names, they were charged Dh15,000 per person as decided by the organising committee.

The three-day Government Summit 2014, which concluded on Wednesday, saw 4,700 persons from 50 countries and international organisations attending it, but some of them had to pay Dh15,000 each for entry. Those who 
had to pay the fee were not 
invitees.

Khaleej Times learnt that the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs had chalked out an organisational plan to select the participants, allocating certain number of delegates to every federal government entity and coordinating with the executive councils in the local governments to fix the names of their attendees.

The ministry had earlier received a number of applications from inside and outside the country to attend the event, and since they had not registered their names, they were charged Dh15,000 per person as decided by the organising committee.

The event, which was held for the second year consecutively, is one of the biggest conference involving government entities and casting light on the important apps and means of upgrading the government work.

Therefore, a number of government and non-government entities and some individuals in the GCC and other Arab countries were keen on participation and sent their experts and advisors to benefit from the experience and expertise shared by others.

The ministry coordinated with a number of advisors and officials from the Arab region and the world to exchange the best practices and experiences and hosted as many as 30 Arab journalists and writers.
