Azeris can exercise franchise during presidential elections
ABU DHABI - The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Abu Dhabi has announced that it is arranging a facility for Azeri expatriates living in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain to cast their votes for the presidential elections being held in Azerbaijan on October 15.
The expatriates can be able to cast their ballot at the embassy premises in the capital.
A similar arrangement will be made for Azeri expatriates working in Dubai and Northern Emirates at the Azerbaijan Airline office in Deira, according to Elder N. Salimov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan.
Voting will be held between 10am and 8pm at both the venues. There are an estimated 2,000 Azeri expatriates working and living in the UAE.
Ambassador Salimov has appealed to all Azeris to avail of this opportunity and take part in the elections to strengthen the democratic process in the country.
