The venue would be the Khaleej Times Forum Media Centre at the Khaleej Times Building.

Among the speakers would be Member of the House of Lords and the Lord High Constable of Scotland, Sir Merlin Hay Earl of Errol; President of Defence Strategic Forum of United Kingdom and former Conservative MP, Lady Olga Maitland; and Labour Member of the House of Lords, Lord Ahmed of Rotherham — the first Muslim member in the Upper House of British Parliament.

The Khaleej Times International Forum was launched in September 2004 with a keynote address by human rights lawyer, Ms Cherie Booth-Blair QC, who is also the wife of the British Prime Minister, and has since continued to organise seminars and discussions on prevailing international topics.

"We will be holding seminars, conferences and lectures on a monthly basis in order to make a positive contribution to journalism," said Javed Malik, who is organising the events of the Khaleej Times International Forum.

It may be noted that the seminar was previously scheduled on January 8, 2006 but was postponed following the mourning over the demise of Shaikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
