Car number plates net Dh4.731 million

The Director of the General Traffic Department of Dubai Police called on the Customised Car Number Committee to innovate new promotion ways to continuously meet needs and requirements of the market and customers.
The 24th auction of the customised car numbers held on Wednesday evening for 113 customised number codes E and D fetched at Dh4.731million rising from Dh1.187 million nominal value.
The three digits customised number 140 Code E captured the highest bidding in the auction and sold out for Dh275, 000. The first group, which included 24, numbers Code E fetched at a total of Dh1.530 million. The group's numbers are: 140, 230, 250, 260, 320, 350, 360, 420, 480, 520, 560, 610, 640, 670, 720, 730, 780, 810, 840, 860, 930, 950 and 980.
The second group was sold out for Dh674, 000 and included twelve similar five-digit numbers of Code E and D. They were: 29000, 39000, 42000, 53000, 61000 and 78000.
The third group was sold out for a total of Dh382, 000 and included twelve four digits car numbers: 1771, 3443, 5885, 7337, 8668, 9559 of Code E and 1166, 3388, 4433 6699, 8822 and 9966.
The fourth group fetched at Dh298, 000 and included twelve similar four digit numbers of Code E and D which are: 1113, 2221, 3338, 5556, 4445, 4442, 6669 and 6668.
The fifth group was sold for a total of Dh102, 000 and consisted from 17 numbers of Code E. They were 1600, 2600, 2900, 3200, 4100, 4900, 5200, 6400, 6700, 7100, 7500, 7800, 8100, 8300, 9400, 9700 and 9600.
The sixth group fetched at Dh183, 000 and consisted from 12 four digits customised numbers of Code D. They were number: 1511, 5655, 6466, 7377, 8288, 9199, 1811, 5855, 6566, 7577, 8988, and 9699.
The seventh group fetched at Dh173, 000 and included 12 five digits of Code E and D. They were 38333, 87888, 93999, 18111, 14111, 47444 and 63666 code E and 46444 and 69666 Code D.
The eighth group fetched at Dh153, 000 and consisted from 12 twelve five digit number Code E. They were: 11777, 44999, 55222, 66111, 77666, 88777, 11177, 449999, 55222, 66111, 77666, 88777, 11177, 44499, 55522, 66611, 77766, and 88877.
Brig. Eng. Al Zafeen hailed the transfer of the Customised Car Number Committee to the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, as this will help further accomplishments in this regard especially that the authority will be headed by Matar Al Tayer.
